City of Sydney

A quiet collaboration with nature, this public art project pays homage to the celebrated Sydney broadcaster and poet, John Thompson. Using poetry as a base, a Gauguin-inspired typographic piece was installed onto Paddington Reservoir’s walls using living moss. The piece draws from Andy Goldsworthy’s nature-based art, silently introducing language into the reservoir’s landscape. This project was created in collaboration with ABC Open multimedia journalist and artist, Sonya Gee.
